All our training can be completed at our fully equipped training centre in Saltney, Chester or at your own company premises, with discounts available for group bookings.

Why is Health and Safety Training Important?

Over 200 people are killed each year in accidents at work and over one million people are injured.  Over two million suffer illnesses caused by, or made worse by, their work.

Preventing accidents and ill health caused by work is a key priority for everyone at work. As the owner or manager of a business you know that competent employees are invaluable.

Providing Health and Safety information and training helps you to:

There are well over 30 Acts, Regulations, Approved Codes or Guidance Notes that require organisations, directors, managers and employees to be competent and trained to undertake their responsibilities effectively.

Failing to provide training can lead to an increased risk of prosecutions, enforcement notices, civil liability claims and losses.

Accredited Training Courses 

• IOSH Managing Safely  (4 day course aimed at Managerial, Supervisory level)

• IOSH Working Safely (Our most popular course!  This 1 day course caters for staff at all levels, resulting in the award of a Safety Passport Card or course completion Certificate as required)

• CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual handling

• CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of COSHH

• CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Risk Assessment

Successful completion of accredited training courses will result in the award of a Course Completion Certificate from the relevant awarding body.

In-House Training Courses

• Risk Assessment and the Dynamic Risk Assessment Process (1 day course)

• Fire Warden Training (1 day course)

• Asbestos Awareness (1 day course)

• COSHH Essentials (1/2 day course)

• Manual Handling in the Workplace (1/2 day course)

• Confined Space Awareness (1 day)

Successful completion of all in-house courses will result in the award of a J&P Group Certificate of Course Completion.
